Platinum Diamond Ring: Vintage: Late Victorian

Ladies Platinum and Diamond Ring. Vintage, Late Victorian Circular Cluster Ring. The ring is hand fabricated, hand pierced and assembled in construction. The ring consists of one Octagonal Shape Old Mine Cut Diamond bezel set in slightly elevated center position. The principle center diamond is encircled by 5 Octagonal or Roundish Shape Old Mind and Old European Cut Diamonds and interspaced by 5 Roundish Antique Single and Round Single Cut Diamonds al bright cut and bead set and comprising the crown of the ring. The crown is supported by a very ornate scroll patterned pierced open-lattice bridge. The bridged crown is mounted into an elevated split open-lattice cathedral style shouldered half-round slightly tapered band. The crown measured approximately 14.04 to 14.15 mm. in diameter, the slightly reversed tapered shoulders measures approximately from 1.77mm. to 1.92. and slightly reverse taper up to 2.00 mm. at base of shank. The ring is in very good condition, high polished finish, measured 5 1/2 and weighs 3.10 DWT.
